Album Info:I met Paul Wilshaw while living in Pensacola; he stayed pretty much in the Florida panhandle/AL/MS region but shot a lot of interesting material.

Title:  ICG GP7 65
Description:  In the mid 1970s the ICG bought a number of GP7s from the Reading with the intention to rebuild them as part of their Paducah program. Several were given temporary numbers by dropping the first digit and put on the road before they were rebuilt. This is ICG 65, former Reading passenger geep 665; it would become ICG 7734 in 1977.

Title:  Lone Star Industries 501
Description:  A rare EMD switcher; Lone Star Industries SW900 501 (with 201 in the light boards); former Texas Construction Materials 501, built as Colorado River Western 201. It was shot by Paul Wilshaw on the L&N headed for the LCEX plant at Medley FL, which is now called Tarmac Florida INC. CRW was a nine-mile Texas-based shortline owned by TCM built in 1955 and sold to the SP (TNO) in 1958. TCM was later acquired by or renamed Lone Star Industries.

Description:  When the Frisco had to replace its long-serving GE 45tonner no11 at its isolated Blakely Island operation opposite Mobile it bought a well-traveled SW1 from BN. It's shown here soon after arriving town and prior to taking the ferry across the river to its new home. The unit started as GN 5103, and then successively GN 77, BN 77, WWV 77, SLSF 10, BN 70 and finally to US Borax in California.
