BN: The first year
A BN train comes to a stop in Grand Forks Yard from the west behind former GN F7A, GN F7B, NP F9B, GN GP7. Up to the BN merger Grand Forks was a largely first generation EMD town with GP20s and occasional U25Bs, GP30s and 35s thrown in. The merger added NP power to the mix and even big six axle units on coal trains. Scanned from an Instamatic (126) slide

Robert Garton General That's cool! I wish they kept a few of their predecessor roads' paint schemes. Maybe BNSF will do like the UP and have some type of heritage units. Thanks for sharing! 1/24/2008 10:06:44 AM
