Headed for Flood Duty  Contributor's Pick!
NS MOW train no.949 is out of St. Louis' Luther Yard and passing through O'Fallon MO with three cars headed for Brunswick MO to help stem track damage during the floods of '08. Although limited by the four-wheel crane to about 35MPH, the dispatcher described this run as a "hot train that can't be stopped". The train is passing the original site of the former Wabash depot, which is now owned by the city and sits about 100 yards to the left.
