Shelby County no.4, a Ten Wheeler out of Baldwin (41012, 12/13) and the last power the road bought. SHC opened in 1907 and operated almost 30 miles of track from the connection with the CB&Q at Shelbina to Novelty in Knox County. The road had three locomotives when it was closed in 1938. It's last "train" was a White motor car running in March 1938. There are very few signs of this outfit left now. Date Approximate. |
