KJRY is a Paducah GP8, rebuilt from a GP7 in 1968. It's the former IAIS 471, ICG 7971, IC 8971 (17730, 3/53, f/n 6496-4). 471 shows an odd combination of parts; with a GP7 long-hood, late-GP9 48" roof fans and doesn't have the paper air filter box usually associated with Paducah rebuilds, being completed before that feature was added, in April 1969. |
