KCS Slug 402 |
Description: |
KCS yard slug 402 uncoupled at EStL. The cast, Baldwin-style frame details strongly suggests this is the former KCS 4080, delivered from MAC in 1982 using CNW slug BU-18 as its core, although MAC apparently changed everything from the frame up during the process. CNW had rebuilt it from DS4-4-1000 1075, the former CGW 39, in 1974. |

SBD/SCL slug 3009 |
Description: |
This somewhat anonomous slug was originally a Baldwin S12, SAL 1464/SCL 205. It was rebuilt in Montgomery AL in 1974 as slug SCL 3009; when shot in 1983 it was passing through Pensacola and possibly retired. |

KCS SW1500/Slug Set |
Description: |
KCS SW1500/slug sets were familiar sights in KC for many years. Here 4331 and slug 4080 sit at the Joint Agency. 4080's frame originated with a CGW Baldwin. |
