CBRM
Title:  CBRM
Description:  The Chillicothe-Brunswick Rail Authority (CBRM) operated the former NS/NW/WAB line from Chillicothe to Brunswick MO for two periods, Jan 1987 to Mar '90, Oct '94 to Mar '04. CBRM was formed under the Green Hills Rural Development Agency, a quasi-governmental NW Missouri group. GHRD sold the road to the City of Chillicothe in 2004, with the CBRM organization being officially disolved by the state in Dec 2009. The route, now functionally a 4-mile terminal operation, is leased by the city to Motive-Rail Inc (MRIX), who runs it under the Missouri North Central title.

Title:  TP GP9M 109
Description:  TP 109 is the former Midland Valley 153. Built as a GP7 in 1953, it was involved in a collision at Bokoshe OK and rebuilt by EMD as a GP9M while retaining its original number (MV 153) and a new builders number. It eventually become TP 109 within the Missouri Pacific system. Not long after this picture was taken it was renumbered 1696 and survived until 1979. It's shown here on what used to be home rails, the former MV yard in Tulsa OK.

Description:  UP GP9 261 runs slowly through the Salt Lake City shop area in June 1973. It's hood displays additional ventilation holes put in it by the UP from when it was one of the first two UP GP9s equipped with experimental AiResearch turbochargers in 1956. It was subsequently rebuilt to a normal, non-turbocharged configuration but the hood openings remained until retired in 1979.

Description:  Washington Central took over a good portion of the BN's former NP lines in central part of the Evergreren State in 1986. The road's headquarters was at Yakima, which is where we find GP9s 301, 302 and CF7 401. In 1996 the WCRC sold bacK most of its trackage to the BN as it reopened the Stampede Pass route. The remaining parts of the shortline were renamed the Columbia Basin RR.
